I am also a teacher, writer and traveler. I’m originally from the Philippines and teach in China. This blog is about writing, teaching and the beauty and shittiness in life, that despite all that we should still hang on because life hasn’t given up on us yet and so should we.

How it all began

A year ago I had no published articles, guest posts and a blog I abandoned years ago. All I had was a dream that someday I’ll be a writer. But that’s exactly when it’ll happen –someday. After I realized what the heck was I doing just sitting on my ass, I took a deep breath and plunged into my writing journey. In the beginning, I mostly didn’t know what I was doing, made a whole lotta mistakes but nevertheless enjoyed the entire learning process. Soon I gained clarity that I wanted to become a freelancer and then a novelist. Since then, I’ve achieved some small milestones like writing in my old blog again, having some articles published online, doing some guest posts, meeting a lot of incredible authors and finally, becoming a writer in a travel and lifestyle magazine here in China.

This website means I’m ready to take things to the next level.

A year ago, I was sitting on my bed, with zero publishing credits to my name and wishing to become a writer. Fast forward to a year later. I get up to crank out some articles and fiction, email my editor and then grab my camera before heading out to cover local events.

It just proves everything is possible. You just have to go out and get it.
